During the process, a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center asked to lease it and we set them up with a 2-year lease. After that period the property was successfully sold to the current Owners.

Infill Project

This Santa Barbara, Calif., infill project stands out for achieving LEED Platinum and doubling the area's typical density, but it also blends smoothly with the neighborhood's Spanish Colonial style and single-family house profile. Jeffrey Berkus, AIA, eased the tight proximity of five houses on a quarter acre of land by including ample public and private outdoor space. DeAnn and Elizabeth worked closely with the owner/builders of this project developing the marketing and sales materials and were the original listing agents/EcoBrokers for these 5 brand new units. They hosted the local green building community for a special open house event there.

Puma Canyon Ranch

Puma Cayon Ranch: 40-acre parcel set back in a canyon with lots of privacy. Zoned Ag II, 5000 sq. ft. warehouse/loading dock with office plus living quarters. Greenhouse, 2 mobile homes, hot tub & endless pool. Farmed in organic avocados. This ranch in Goleta was DeAnn's real estate transaction, it is the one that drove her passion for ranches, creative uses for properties, and the joy of helping her clients find and purchase their dream property.

Urban Rural Retreat

Recipient of Santa Barbara Innovative Building Design Award

In the heart of the Mission Canyon District of Santa Barbara, a naturalist modern structure.Designed with the capability to be a NetZerohome with a solar photovoltaic system, solar water heating, and a two-story solarium for passive solar heating. Maximizing light and views and dissolving barriers between inside and outside space were primary directives of the project. Built to answer to the larger environment as well as to the site it sits on, other green features include High-efficiency appliances, Magnetic induction cooktop, Icynene insulation, FSCcertified lumber, NoVOCor low-VOC finishes throughout, Finished concrete floors, Use of native SB stone, Efficient lighting and urban/rural landscaping integrating food producing plants with ornamentals. The home meets or exceeds the high fire hazard standards.DeAnn is friends with the designer/builder/owner and was one of the first to see this new re-envisioned home and had the perfect Buyer to appreciate all of the environmental thoughtfulness this home incorporates. It closed shortly after, never going into the MLS.

Yoga Soup

DeAnn was integral to the opening of the successful Yoga Soupyoga studio in Santa Barbara. She helped with deciding on the space, setting up the business systems, getting the studio staffed, software set up, grand opening event planning, and much more...
